They really do look quite a bit like the newer style GX15R. And yes, i find the fact that billy corgan has two of them, on top of his diezels, to be completely fucking spectacular.

I've seen them on Ebay a few times, really looking out of curiosity more than anything else. Adam Pearson (MC5, ex-Sisters Of Mercy lead guitarist) had a couple of these, along with a modded Soldano preamp and a Hiwatt poweramp, IIRC. Not such a bad rig, as far as things go.

It's pretty great.

Realistically, they are probably for his tech for testing/setting up shit.

Though, it would be much more awesome if they are actually an integral part of his rig setup, and get mic'ed.

Actually, I read some where that they mic those little combos up when hes playing live instead of teh diezels, which are just for show.
