 Re: The Chris Thread
I've only dicked with the game for two days, but I see this and think "it would be gnarly if someone built this in Minecraft." The game is evil.

 Re: The Chris Thread
I am not going to get the game until this semester is done.
I am the kind of person that can obsessively create things (if you haven't noticed already), and so Minecraft could spell the end of me succeeding at this point in the game.
But when I hook it up shit yeah brah, LET'S BUILD A CASTLE

 Re: The Chris Thread
Goddamn, I love cephalopods. They are amazing creatures. If I ever get a tat, it'll be a big octopus, it's head on my right shoulder blade and the entire thing's tentacles extended down my upper arm.

 Re: The Chris Thread
They are glorious. They're such alien things compared to anything us land-persons are familiar with, even cetaceans. Dolphins and whales, yeah, they look like fish but they act like mammals and we as humans understand that. The giant octopus bears the distinction of being not only an invertebrate but the most intelligent of all invertebrates and a self-aware, sentient being. It's right up there with apes, elephants and dolphins.
I've heard it stated the greatest limitation to the advancement of the octopus is its extremely short lifespan. An octopus'll only live for three years or so, where a chimp or an elephant will live a long as a human so they develop more complex social organizations.

 Re: The Chris Thread
LOBSTER STICKS TO MAGNET: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lobster#LongevityBitches don't die of old age as far as we know- they may be biologically immortal- ie. must be killed by outside forces and won't kick it from old age. And they're just a bigass pointy bug that lives underwater.

 Re: The Chris Thread
And consider: people who eat of meats are known to eat lobsters. If lobsters may be biologically immortal in their not-aging, and the great philosopher George Carlin said blue food was the key to immortality, what then say ye of Lobsters That Are Blue, thusly: I think what is going down here is that if you can capture and consume blue lobsters, you will live indefinitely until something captures and consumes you.
