I went to see Lady Gaga live (my sister needed somebody to go with)  You know what, it was actually fucking brilliant  Singing was spot on as was the sound production, and the show/lights etc were snaxcellent. First pop gig I've ever been to and I enjoyed myself a lot more than I thought I would

That shit gets everyone dancing no matter what or where. Seriously, watching Bad Romance come on at 3 AM at a goth club is kinda hilarious. No one is at the bar, the floor is packed.

I can't even get into her (in my mind, doubtfully) self-aware mockery and exploitation of pop star cliches. Because.. They're still fucking pop star cliches.  I don't know, I just don't like dance music in the first place though.

It's totally self-aware from what I can tell. Very glamrock influenced. She seems like a smart lass and is totally playing the Really Big Show thing for all it's worth. I like OTT theatrics and dance music though. (No shit, really? ) It's all silly fun. Shit doesn't have to be deep and meaningful. I've had more than enough deep-and-meaningful over the years. I'm long since past the point of being burned out on listening to only that, all the time.
