I've just realized that all they do is recycle/regurgitate the same one-liners and memes in every similar thread.

Well a lot of the fun from there came over here, we have seemed to keep our little clique here and while we don''t have the traffic HC has we are just concentrated lulz. Also the banthammer got a little tough to deal with there and not so lenitent

They have their moments, but aren't nearly as hilarious as many of them seem to think they are.

Actually, one of the reasons i prefer this small clan here, is that there simply is not that overarching need to try to turn everything into some back-and-forth one-liner trollfest or some "epic" blowout.

I would rather "odd" than "funny" or "epic" most of the time anyhow. Anyone can be funny, particularly when telling someone else's joke. And anyone can be a troll, it being one of the easiest things on the planet to do.

In my opinion, it is the odd ones that are worth keeping around. And we have a pretty okay concentration of them in this town.

HCAF is like one big community that lacks diversity in lulz. With the lack of diversity there is little room for lulz to naturally evolve, and the result of that is the same regurgitated memes. It is too homogeneous of a society for new lulz to originate. Their somewhat strict CoC also limits the lulz factor because no one wants to get banned for saying something funny.

Mapz is on the other end of the spectrum in regards to that. What we lack in numbers we more than make up for with a boundary less society more or less. Our members are diverse enough that new lulz may evolve on their own. What's not funny dies out quickly, and what's funny thrives. No one here is afraid of getting bant and that removes some of the restrictions of the generation of new lulz.

Dolf, LoopQuantam, Duncan, Zentman, Rbasaria, and the rest of the newer regulars are the lamest people ever. Worst thing to ever happen to HCAF

Duncan was warplanegrey and the source of many accidental lulz involving roadcases and buying corksniffer gear whilst living at home with Mum & Dad... but this was some years ago. Those guys have, mostly, been around for a longish while, but most of the old crew moved on to greener pastures. That really started with all the '80s Metal D00ds leaving for RigTalk a few years back.
