She had five sisters just like her at the humane society.

We opened the cage and it was like "OMG KITTENZ!"

Mine definitely has some Maine Coon to her. Looks like one, and she is crazy and continually finding things to keep herself entertained, either by bugging me like a puppy would, or by doing things like plucking magnets off of the refrigerator with her teeth just to make them clack when they fall on the floor. As far as pets go, a pretty good one.

I just am sort of anti-pet in the modern era. I don't ever quite know what is in store for me, where i will be living, what i will be eating, and would rather not be responsible for a cat and a bird as well. Stuck with 'em for now anyhow. If my sister ever moves out (unlikely) i will send her with the cat though, now that they finally get along.

Baw.

I would like a big fluffy kitty but they do not agree with my sinuses/allergies.

So far Misty has been good. She is pretty puppy-like as well, she even plays fetch :freak: . She scratched furniture at first, but I have gotten her trained to just claw one fake tree from Wal-Mart. If I don't pay attention to her she'll go whiffle ball hunting (I live with a golfer and I play a bit myself, so they are around), or bother me until I pet her.

Yarr. I don't know if you have had cats before, but one of the easier ways to redirect furniture scratching is to have a movable proper cat scratching device(either a carpet post, or one of those corrugated box things, whatever) and as SOON as you see/hear the cat scratching something else, you move the proper scratching thing directly in front of whatever thing they are trying to destroy. Usually, they will just take that and be happy. Then they will often even follow the scratching post to wherever you move it a couple days or a week later. They will pretty much always destroy whatever you have around, but you can slow the process a ton, if you are on the ball with doing this.

As a cat-hater, I'd say your cat is pretty cute.

Yeah, when she started scratching I would just grab her and move her to the tree. I have a scratch mat and a corrugated cardboard thing, but she doesn't seem to dig them too much. Luckily, she just spends a majority of the day sleeping and chasing whiffle balls.

Also, she has developed a habit of waking me up at 8:30 am to feed her by nibbling on my toes.

Devin: That sounds so kyoot. :D I too have allergies stopping me from having a kitteh, otherwise I'd get a big fluffy one like a Maine Coon.

Chris: This demonstrates how kitteh owns the house. :red:
