So awesome. Fractal broccoli. I recall reading somewhere that broccoli is a crossing of parsley and cauliflower. This sounds like it may not be likely though. |

It is definitely (in the eating of it) a cross between broccoli and cauliflower. You cut it up and cook it like you would cauliflower. It stays firmer than cauliflower does, so it tends to have slightly more of a broccoli kind of crunch to it. It is actually fucking delicious. And it looks like science. Hell, it tastes like science too. Particularly when done up with nice olive oil and a hefty pile of garlic.

Went to a fancy restaurant once and they actually had it spelled Broccoli Rape. I asked the waiter if it was a typo and he said no. I was so tempted to order it, but didn't want to smell like broccoli out of all my orifices. |
