I have the house to myself and I will shortly have 3 half gallons of Sailor Jerry's at my house.
Notice how I have class and have Jerry's instead of Morgan's?
I can thank this goddamn board for that bit of wisdom, you alcoholic bastards.

Morgan's is certainly fine enough for some high school/college kids to be gettin' fucked up with at any other house, but I feel compelled to do it up right.

And yourself, sir.

"It's like vanilla Coke, but with booze!"

A word of warning- remember Sailor is significantly higher proof than Captain. You might as well be making drinks with Maker's or Knob :dildo: . (The latter of which I've taken to liking in sours. Thank you, Patti @ Vertex. I don't even usually like bourbon in sours. Canadian whiskey is the way to go there. Sweeter.)

We're goin' out early. My crew is meeting at our usual place at 9. Mind = blown. This is Buffalo, shit's open 'til four on a normal night. No one goes out before 11. No one worth talking about, at any rate. :monocle:

People-watching on Amateur Night will prove to be amusing.

Oh, I am aware that brutal shit is 100 proof.
:isay:

'Tis part of the point, comrade.
:D

I have a real hankering to try that new Pinnacle whipped cream vodka (it is apparently 100% tasteless in terms of alcohol) and run it diluted with water through a coffee machine super danked out with far too many coffee grounds.
Far too many being my favorite way to have it.

That sounds damned tasty. Sailor + latté is actually a really fabulous combination if you want to be awake and intoxicated at the same time. Being a frequent consumer of caffeinated beverages, I've occasionally slipped into the restroom to spike my beverage from a flask at my coffee shop of choice. :red:

Three Olives Grape and soda is my best friend's current standard issue thing to get at a bar. It's pretty tasty, gotta say. Grape is superior to Purple; Purple is like the vodka equivalent of Grape Drink. Also, vodka + iced tea = win. This is very common here and apparently not so at other places. They are missing out.

I often have that (Is it Firely or some bullshit..?) Iced Tea vodka and water it down and throw some ice cubes in there, of course making a big, sweaty glass of the stuff.
I make that a lot at my drummer's house, his parents like to drink and always have a ton of alcohol and don't mind us drinking some of it.
That is one of the many privileges of being in a band and knowing people when you're young.

I've tried that Pinnacle shit. (If it's that one in a slim blue bottle, then yeah). It was some kinda whipped cream flavored vodka. That stuff was NASTY!! It was like a pure sugar vodka. Iuno, maybe it might be good to you but I'm not a vodka kinda guy.

Do you still get the good Sailor Jerry's over there, with the vanilla and lime spicings? We no longer have that version and it makes me sad as it just tastes like any other cheap rum now  I need to find a new spiced rum that has the vanilla in it. Don't like Morgans, it's a bit sickly.

I didn't get drunk for NYE, just incredibly high at some crazy house party in a country mansion :isay:

Good spiced rums are thin on the ground. The last time I had Sailor it was pretty well the same, but I can't vouch for when the liquor store got their stock in or how fast it moves off the shelf. If you can get Kraken, do so. It's a spiced black rum, and also higher proof than the usual cheepie spiced rums or Captain (overpriced; might as well get the cheapshit) and has a bit of a chocolate note to it.

Kilo is actually pretty good as well. My local gothbar started carrying this, possibly 'cause of the skull on the bottle (the owner's a sweetie, but his aesthetic choices are... shall we say, obvious. And I think intentionally a bit campy, as it's actually a clean-and-more classy sorta place.)

Don't know if it's available in the UK though. If Captain, etc. are your only options, Captain Morgan Tattoo is significantly superior to regular Captain. Captain Private Stock is not a spiced rum, oddly enough, but rather a darker aged-in-oak sort.

The Pope wasn't involved, was he? With the dusty old wine and all...
