:hypno:

It's so tight. It's like the amp was specifically designed around the way I play.

I want one.

That thing sounds mean.

Heard it's the same map as old Randalls.

It's like a Randall with a boost in front and an EQ in the loop, from what I've gathered.

This.
Particularly emulating Dime's signal chain he used in conjunction with his RGs.
IIRC, he used like two different Furman 6-band EQs at the same time, one boosting mids, one scooping mids.

The one boosting the mids was in the front and the one scooping was in the loop.

I wonder how accurate the circuit is to the real RG100es? Does it use JFETs in the preamp? I had an RG100es for a year or so, I loved it. I never got to make any clips of it before I sold it, though... didn't have the gear to record it at the time.

That guy rules.

Ive heard some great clips of this amp, and Ive heard some pretty fucking shitty clips. For its price, I wouldnt think twice about getting one.

That is probably one of the better if not best youtube demos I have seen.

I actually don't really like the way that sounds. Reminds me very much of my old Crate GX-130C though. Back in the day, i would have been psyched.

I prefer the way Mike's Randall sounds though. Are you saying that is supposed to be about the same thing, but with some added EQ sections? Or is this based on a different Randall?

Oh I'm not really a fan of the tone.

But the video pretty much demonstrates exactly what the amp was built for, the playing was solid and it was decent enough of quality to represent the sound of teh map.

For the price they are new they're a fucking steal. Crowbar have been rocking them and you cant argue with their tone.

I wouldn't argue with Crowbar in general. I remember them being tough looking dudes. :idk:

I actually rather like them, incidentally.

Never

That video honestly sounds way fucking good for that amp. Possibly lots of production in that clip. Im assuming it sounds half as good if not less in person considering some of the shittier clips Ive heard of it.
