So I was having a lot of problems with Reaper on this laptop.

I decided it needed to be wiped after being abused by old lady interneting, and I figured why not upgrade in the meantime.






















Goddamn in runs so much faster it is stupid. A clean hdd and an OS that doesn't use almost half my memory just idling :tu:

Aye. That is an upgrade i will have to explore someday.

This computer is already fast as shit, i am curious as to whether i would even notice an improvement. I mean, it is fast, but faster would be... better? :idk:

Windows 7 can just upgrade, so you don't have to wipe your drives if you didn't want.

I have a DVD that ... works ... I could burn and mail you a copy of said DVD.

You just pop it in, choose the upgrade option, when it prompts to authenticate turn off the automatic option and just click next without entering a code.

It works. I don't argue it's process. Obviously you have to do all your updating the old fashion way, but I usually like to do that anyway :idk:.

Edit: I could probably do an .iso or something too if that is your digs.

I like the attitude that Windows needs to be wiped once a year. I love a fresh Windows install. It runs like a Mac then. :D

Thanks for offering breaux. This copy of Vista is my first unfucked up OS install in a long time, and it has given me a taste for correctly functioning windows autoupdate. If Windows 7 is indeed the bizbomb, i will probably just buy a copy down the line some. You know, support unfuckedup OSes and all. Vista has been behaving really well for me, so i am under no pressing need to mess with it.

If i change my mind, or indeed if Vista changes its, i will send you a request though. :isay:

Windows 7 is good stuff. I liked Vista as well, but 7 is faster and it looks nicer.

I would totally still be using that one if it supported 4GB or RAM. The install size can be so tiny, like 4GB for a stripped out install. :huzzah:

Using XP after using 7 is so horrible. Slower and it looks shit.

btw Chris, I think you can get a 64 bit version of XP :idk:

Also, SD2 seems to run pretty well on it as well. Things are looking up for Devin :D
