How bad is it over where yer at at the moment?

I have not bin snowdon as of yet- it's bright and clear here, or was when there was sun, but I've heard rumours we're s'poda get owned Odin's Day. (Random trivia: the city of Buffalo proper generally gets very little snow. The outlying areas get hammered, regular as clockwork. Including the suburb where the football stadium is located [incidentally, where I grew up] which no doubt adds to the reputation as it's broadcast on national TV with our name on it. It's roughly half an hour by car from my house.)

The wind was fucking brutile today, though. I dropped some stuff off at the post office after work, and by the time I got home my face was numb. I removed my sunglasses as they were hurting my nose.

We have set records here. Even I am about done with snow, well, other than generally we get to go in later to work when it fucking blizzarding out.

The issue we have here is that in addition to having gotten about twenty inches already over the average amount for the whole season(meaning up till April), it has been too cold for any of it to go anywhere. My driveway practically looks like fucking Bergen:



Or at least will if we get the full Twenty-One More Fucking Inches that are forecast between tomorrow and thursday.

Basically though, i am just tired of fucking shoveling it. The last storm did something unpleasant to my wrist that reminded me a bit too much of a stress fracture i gave myself a couple years back. That shit fucked up my drumming for months, and i DNW any more of it.

SHUT THE FUCK UP

Yeah, people are saying NYC is supposed to get like 2 feet or more this week. There's like no more fucking room for this snow to go to. At least I don't have to shovel or anything around here. Still sucks tho when snow is piled all over the place and there's no room to walk.

I used to see that all the time in NYC, but not so much in the soft suburban town in which i am currently encapsulated.

In NYC, all the doods who did it appeared as the type of nutters who might have been acclimatizing for some ill-fated Everest attempt or summat. That was at least, the story i applied to their jackassed pantless/sleevless in 12º weather shenanigans. Moar interesting i suppose for me than the "they are simply retarded" that i would otherwise be inclined to affix to that invisible spot in the space hovering above their heads.

There are some advantages to living this close to the equator.

I went into Queens to pick up my sister and bring her to my grandmas place in PA, and i had to fucking dig a hole in a four foot tall (by six foot deep) snow bank just to have a place to put the damned car. Got a little bit luckier when i dropped her off, as the car is AWD and was capable of stealing someone else's shoddily cleared spot, via the nuanced application of brute force and a general disregard for the bodywork.

Still: shit sucked.

People here think its cold. Its 64 degrees.

We lack the piles of snow you guys have, but I'm getting tired of looking at this shit... fucking shit will melt off and be gone for one day, then it snows again.

Queens is already a fucking shitty place to find parking, hell...all of NYC is, but with this snow it becomes damned near impossible.
