I can't find a book I bought a couple months ago, and can finally get around to reading.

And the very same night I realized it was lost, I realize my Soundgarden Badmotorfinger is AWOL. I think maybe a friend borrowed it some three or four years ago.



This was reason enough for me to drink more beer.

I always enjoyed the stuff Larry Niven wrote with Jerry Pournelle. Not Jerry Cantrell, who is someone else entirely and to the best of my knowledge is not a science-fiction writer.

Also, yes. You have been stolen from. Cut off their hands.

Larry Niven is awesome. His stuff is totally hard sci fi, yet he still manages to take the 'fi' aspect to an extreme. Such that I can reread his stuff every couple years and still enjoy, because there's such a wealth of things going on that it seems fresh after a while.

My Dimensions Divide song 'Relativistic Speeds' owes a little something to him and this book:
