Hey. I feel like i have seen something like this before, but i can't place where. Does there exist, a hinged monitor? Maybe hard to explain, but basically, it occurred to me that it would be useful to have something that folded like a laptop, but that was just a monitor. So like just the screen, and a power and video connector, no hard drives or anything else? Seems like it would be real useful for something like a portable rackmount (but burly desktop PC-based) recording rig. Does it exist? |

Yeah, i totally forgot about all of the server rooms i have been in. I think i might have blocked those memories out.  Lately i have been really interested in the concept of a rackmounted portobeastiecomputer though. I love this laptop so much. But i do have problems with firewire synching on occasion and other downsides to its laptop-based format. The idea of something just a bit bigger, but like even more powerful, and even more reliable, is very interesting. Definitely something to aim for on the (way long term) horizon for me. |
