Fucking banjo is doap. An old friend of mine taught himself to rip pretty well on one he found in a yardsale or something. They are cool, and the playing technique is one that i think would lend itself to some interesting guitar crossover technique ideas. I.e.: Do It. |

I've never had desire to play a banjo, but adding to one repertoire is always victory. It may give you ideas on geetar that you never thought of before. I say yes, do. Don't listen to Frankie. |

It's pretty hard to learn as well. It takes a stupid amount of practice to sound good, or to play a lot of the more complicated stuff. Fucking instruments and their learning curves. And it's less of a twang and more of a plonk. |
