got this last week, thought I'd share with you guys.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() GREAT guitar, funny thing is, my wife almost NEVER gets involved with any of my gear decisions, but after I got this one, she told me I wasn't allowed to get rid of it. fine by me, damned thing plays and sounds GREAT!!! plus it's a V so thats a plus in my book, I love Vs.

Duncan - Mustaine Live Wires. Sounds really good, WAY different than my EMGs, but not in a bad way, just different. still getting used to them, guitar plays GREAT, and is very comfortable. |

Are they based on the Blackouts? A friend of mine has those in one of his Explorers now and... I thought they were a massive improvement over the 81s, honestly. There was an improvement in clarity in a band context. |

I don't doubt that. The passive versions are good pickups fer shure. I thought MegaDave used the Jazz in the neck forever so that's what his sig neck pickup would be based on? Not that the '59 would be a bad choice. Those are fine pickups, and I like Duncans in general, even their actives. |
