I don't if I am a huge fan of the all black scheme. I mean, it is safe, and definitely classier than the FUCK YOU DAD! specials. I mean, Zoot Suit SG ... fuck that guitar. But to be honest I need some sort of contrast in there. It is just so flat looking. While it does have a pretty sleek appearance, it is boring after one look over. It just isn't a lasting favorite of mine, but I would consider owning a shell pink guitar so yeah. |

It isn't too dissimilar from the black SG minus the inlays. I actually prefer them with the inlays. Would be better if they did the jack and switch in black also. I would like it more in addition, if the paint was more flat black, less satin/semigloss. Like the older Gothics were. It makes it stand out more from the typical crop of black Standards. All of those things aside, it is indeed one of the less repulsive things that Gibson has done in recent times.

I liked the finish on the original Gothics. And I think the no inlays look is classy. Also, the finish on the Voodoo series and that Vampire Explorer deal are pretty neat, I think, but the inlays are proper awful.
