Apparently this is the term for a small round velcro disc.
I think actual coins should be made out of velcro. Like, a $3 coin with Spiro Agnew on it or something.

Hook side would definitely be easier to lose or get stolen, so I'm going to have to place my confidence in that choice. You could stick your money almost anywhere. |

I like it! Velcro hooks on one side, a portrait of, say, Walter Mondale on the other. It's worth 98 cents. Just to keep pennies involved for convenience's sake. |
