I don't believe in any gods but I have no problem assuming a first-century Palestinian Jewish... hippie, basically, pissed off the Roman colonial authorities and they had him whacked in the way such regimes tend to knock off subversives. I figure that meshes pretty well with reality versus the God of monotheism, who comes across as an upstart prick asserting himself amongst a bunch of other gods.

Christianity < Judaism < Zoroastrianism = OG Monotheism.

Also the hierarchy of angels used by Christianity is taken from the Zoroastrian hierarchy of the heavens.
