I didn't actually know what CBS meant, but I believe it refers to the bigger headstocks which look approximately 50x cooler. |

It refers to when Fender was bought by CBS. When they took over, they made a few design changes, like the big CBS headstock. If you hear about a pre-CBS vintage Fender, that thing is worth some monnney. I like both headstocks. I think the original has a more slick look that I like for the more modern stuff. I like the CBS headstock for the more vintage-designed models. If I get a proper (two single coils, crazy switching and a the original break angle) I would prefer the CBS on there. |

Now you're talking. I'm considering wrapping that pickguard in aluminum foil and clear coating it, or spray painting it another color. White on black is just sooooo last decade. |
