Besides the vinyl top, I don't think it's that bad. Kinda looks like a big Mercury Cougar, which was a car I used to want really bad.

Nah, every single thing about the Cougar is better than the T-Bird. All of the lines on the Thunderbird are completely fucked up. It is too long, has got no flow to it, and the whole front end is a huge fucking mess. It is like they tried to retrofit the nose and grille from another much smaller car or something. A total design abortion.

The Cougar actually looks kind of mean. And the back half has that slick Nova/Apollo vibe going on to boot. Very different from the ugly era T-Bird, IMO.

Honestly, everything can just fuck off because this exists.

A nasty old jet black 68-70 Charger is one of the best things that ever was.

On the subject of the same, the word on the street was that the Charger was considerably faster than the Mustang in this classic:


And that it took some doing to make believe that it could have been caught once they got to the highway section.

The Mustang definitely sounds moar awesome in that movie though. I wish the Dodge had a similarly loud exhaust onnit.

Thats because steve mcqueen is the man but this sound is hard to beat.
