 The face of the music biz... is a mask...
One of the coverbands I'm in is booked by the largest management/booking agency around. We get great gigs/money. We've been looking for a female singer since I joined about 2-3 months ago (been using temps and subs, all real good) But we've gotten down to about 3 girls, we tried them out live, and realized we had to narrow it down to 2 of them. (the third was real hot, but couldn't hold a tune) so we were leaning towards this one girl (natural soprano, damn). So the management company has to approve the female singers because that's who the bar/club owner/male patrons are there to see. We setup a showcase last night for the girls. Soprano has a better voice and the management agreed, but the other (blonde) is younger (21 compared to 24) and a bit hotter than the other one.
You know who is going to be in the band..... that's just the way it is boys. If you're blonde, hot, and leggy.... you're in.
