Re: I really need to watch this You don't, I think, actually have to be a fan of any of them to appreciate the film. It is, I think, really about showing different artistic perspectives. There was a really good Jack White interview in TapeOp a few months back as well.
Actually, one of my favorite things about TapeOp is reading interviews with artists, producers and engineers that are completely not on my radar for whatever reason, especially if what they do bears little or no resemblance to what I do.

Re: I really need to watch this Yarr. Fer totes that is the Tape Op goodness. Pretty much every issue has some of that going on(though i was surprised to find nothing too interesting about the july issue, which was weird). That Jack White article was definitely cool, i like his thoughts on balancing the nerd with the rock. I.e., deciding beforehand, on which side you primarily want to reside, and then working to keep yourself there, by whatever means are effective for you personally. I like hearing folks talk about that shit.
