Last night's gig:
I have the PA for one of the bands, which is nice (powered QSC's including sub) so the other band wants to use it (has more channels and just better than their PA) The other band doesn't mind (two of us are in both bands) but of course that means Joey has to load two instruments full of shit (gtr & keys) AND the whole PA. Of course I'm first one there and it looks like rain to I unload everything quick so I don't get rained on. no biggie.


End of show of course I have to pack everything up. 2 other guys help but now it's raining. The club wants us to GTFO because now they have a DJ, well the drummer backs his car up right to the door and puts his shit in, (while not helping with the PA) so my car isn't 2 far aways so I take the gear that can be carried without a dolly, there is a large step (drop off) but the sub and the Bogner are on dollies and I have to move the car to load them, so finally the drummer see me carrying shit over so he grabs the PA cabs and brings them, I say thanks but I have to move the car to bring the other stuff just leave it.
Well he brings the subs over also, I'm fucking soaked as it's really fucking pouring and say again, just leave it I have to move the car..... well he brings the Bogner (I have a padded cover on it, but as he's bringing it and the pa head stacked on it, he drops them down a step.



The motherfucker dropped my fucking Bogner.....

I was so pissed I loaded it and had to leave so I didn't fucking go ape ass on his shit.

So what now?

OK I fired it up. Power indicator light doesn't work, but both channels are ok, and sounds fine. I', not happy though, so tonight I will bring my Rebel 20 as a backup and just put it on top of the Bogner is case there's an issue. (Reverb work fine also, and I'm not worried about the loop, I run all pedal in the front.

Chris, the power indicators lights on amps, do they take a bulb? Or is it an LED thing? I've never had to change one......

Yarr, some maps have bulbs, some use leds. In bulbs there are a few different types too.

Shiva just looks like a Fender style though. Make sure that you unscrew the bezel and check the bulb before you pick up a new one. Some amps run a 6.3v bulb off the heaters, some run a 120v bulb off the mains.

If you have never changed a fender-style bulb, they can be tricky, but simple once you know how they are in there. The bezel just unscrews. The bulb has a couple locator pins, and just gets IIRC a 90º CCW turn(some of them have a spring so you need to push in slightly while turning) and it should come out.

After mercilessly torturing your drummer with a rabid platypus, you should kindly inform him to not touch your shit until instructed to do so, and only touch what he is instructed to touch.

Also, back in the day, my singer came running out of a show bringing my guitar head out to me.

I don't remember what he was hurrying for, but sure enough, he tripped right as he got to me. The way he fell, he actually raised the amp up above his head and SLAMMED it into the sidewalk. Like spiking a football.

It was a Crate though, so it still worked normally afterwards.

Some amps don't break because they are built well(e.g. Bogner). Some don't break because they are Crates.

I really hate when people aren't careful with other people's shit. I always make sure I'm extra careful so things like this don't happen. Then again most people are just rude idiots

Yeah I checked out the pulb, the Fender type are much like small auto turnsignal bulbs, push in, then turn. The Bogner has an odd just push in bulb somthing like this:

I'm glad it's working fine and all that got eff't is the bulb.
