In general that whole storyline of the ricin-mailing elvis impersonator who thinks that the government is smuggling body parts, just seems like such a wonderful base for a song or short story.

Looking at the spread of that map, that has got to be wayyyy more common than just in NJ. Far to easy/tempting/profitable.

Actually though, it seems most likely to be, especially in a place like TGIF, less a matter of management/owners trying to pull a fast one for profit, than a matter of some employees stealing the booze and swapping it for bullshit/poison on the sly, to cover their traces.

I would also be tempted to mention that surely this is what one should get, should one wish to order top shelf scotch, at TGI Fridays?

That is not exactly a place where I'd order, say, Glenmorangie 18 Year.

And I would not be surprised were you correct. Simply replacing the good stuff with the well shit would suffice because Free Booze, one would think, or watering the drinks on the sly- because no one has ever done that...

A friend of mine took me to one of those chainplaces after a show last year and ordered me a Maker's Mark milkshake. That, I'm fairly certain, was real, 'cause that has a rather distinctive flavour.

I suggest, perhaps, as part of their investigation, they hire some proper drunkards to go around to chain restaurants and order drinks neat to call them out on it. Sort of like drug-sniffing dogs, but for booze.

I wonder what purpose that pinkness serves.

The cannibal snails are a nice touch, too; this is a quality mountain fer sure.

There is a street near my oldhaus downtown that has these large slugs, several inches long, with leopard-like spots on them. My ex thought they were horrifying and I thought they were adorable. Aww, sluggies! It just seemed to be that one street, too; we rarely saw them off of there. Really nice neighborhood, too; beautiful slate sidewalks; we wanted a house there.
