Scenario: You are offered quality human meat, which has been immaculately and deliciously cooked. You are quite hungry. There is no risk of you or anyone else involved getting into trouble. It is served with lovely vegetables and grains on the side.

Vegetarians, fill this poll out as if you were someone who ate meat on a fairly regular basis.

Would you eat the flesh of man? Long pork?

Totally. Cannibalism is one of the least solid taboos in human history. When it is possible for it to be avoided, it tends to be, but when circumstances require more food/protein/meat than environments can provide, as they have many times throughout the ages, the taboo part of it has a tendency to disappear. In desperate/lean times, it doesn't really matter too much where your dead meat came from.

Besides, people are probably delicious.

Beardblanket. I thought the image was appropriately creepy.

It is indeed impressive. The matching colors, the fixed stare. All you need is a distinguished curvy pipe.

Apparently, from researchers and the like preparing formerly living things for display and scientific purposes, humans are one of the worst to deal with. They are very greasy, for one. I don't suspect the long pig is a particular delicacy. But I never much liked pork to begin with. (Or red meat when I ate of teh meats.)

Would I eat a human?

Well, there is more to that answer than just a simple yes or no. I mean sure, you can always use the survival situation to coerce a little taboo out of everyone. Let's face it, if hunger had it's gun to your head you'd do a lot worse than just eat a guy or two.

The real question is, would you add human flesh to your regular old diet? We're talking pancakes with a side of Dave breakfast, a Tom and cheddar sandwich for lunch and maybe your feeling adventurous and have some Li Chang for dinner. Would you buy it from some underground exotic meat smuggling ring, or hunt for your own meals? Who knows, you could get blessed with a job at the morgue, unless of course you have a taste for fresh meat. Do you have some sort of age limit? Or is there some sort of Beef-Veal situation? Then there is that whole law enforcement bullshit.

Basically what I am trying to say is, I eat people.

With respect to age limit, no. Little girls would be the tastiest.
