Just got through the first half. This shit is entertaining in the weirdest way. Like watching a movie where you already know the ending. |

Yeah, i just love how it sounds basically like it started out as like a Bob Dylan tune or something. Like, listen to how Jagger is singing the lines. And then. All of a sudden. There were bongos. |

Bongos = gamechanger. But yeah the first 4 play throughs I barely even recognized the song. It was so much slower and quieter and "dead" as jagger once noted. |

Layers of percussion really liven things up. This, I was advised while watching youtube audio tips today. I found a great channel full of them. The obnoxious part is though, the guy exclusively records christian rock. |

Aha, the old xtianrock bait and switch. "I got you a box of chocolates." "Yay!" "But it is full of stale wheat thins." "Oh." |

We actually linked him somewhere here before, in regards to recording drums with one microphone. Not the Australian guy, there was another guy with a faux-hawk who put it a bit further from the kick drum. |

I actually caught this last week, a link from the Stones FB feed. dunno know why I didn't link it here, but yeah I really loved this. So awesome to see this classic song get made. We do a version of this in one of the bands One dude may be dropping out of the band so I may end up singing it. Thanks for posting I will need to watch again. |
