For reasons best left unsaid I have gassed for a pair of cowboy boots for some time. I know its not a good look and that it probably outs me in some dubious circles but goddamn I'd like to rock a pair some days ![]() so, good people of maps, talk me into or out of a dumb purchase. |

There IS only one correct answer. Make that dumb purchase. I would. |

Fuck the boots!! Just buy a bunch of spurs and attach them to every pair of shoes you have. |

I must say, that i am (quite arbitrarily) anti-cowboy boots for non-horseriding folk. |

Also, this is a far finer option. Now i want a pair of spurred Vans Old Skools. |

Question: plain cowboy boots or really gaudy cowboy boots?

Plain, probably brown. We can't get any brash styles over here without being fucked in the ass and I'm not paying £150 for some boots I'd never be brave enough to wear in public haha! Also the idea of spurred vans is marvellous |

I think I might have to be initially weak and test the waters with these: ![]() If they work out then I might go for some half calf length boots. Its all gone wrong for me

Oh when I finally man up (or down?) to flavour and buy full calf boots I'll be wearing them with camo shorts dont you worry! |

Camo shorts and cowboy boots would be... Incongruous. Combat boots or Docs? That's standard-issue stuff. Cowboy boots? Worth at least a double-take.The brown or black ankle ones are way more classy. But would also look silly with camo shorts, in the same way dress shoes would look silly with camo shorts. Extra points for urban or "digital" camo. |

I can finish the look with an Hawaiian shirt and blue mirrored aviators. This is why I'm single haha. |

Those are fine boots. I've been thinking about picking up a black pair meself because I could rock them at work, but I get enough shit for being a hipster as is. |
