Post subject:  Any of you guys experience this while dreaming?
Any ear ringing, air shift, or some sort of weird energy youve never felt while youre dreaming, then it suddenly wakes you up?

I went to bed at about 2 30 am this morning , PST. I forget what I was dreaming about , but the last thing I remember was that I was in a dream, I was laying in reverse on my bed, and I was trying to wake myself up but I couldnt due to me dreaming about some spirit controlling my movements. At this time, Im sleeping on my back and my head is turned to the left , so my right ear is facing up. This point into the dream, I actually try to wake myself up but I cant, the ringing in my right ear keeps getting louder and louder and Im now having full body chills ( having chills as Im typing this out right now ). Im to the point where Im almost awake but Im also hearing myself in my dream struggling to wake up, making grunting noises / sounds , etc...... I could feel my body trying to lift itself up as Im dreaming, which is also what I am trying to do in my dream as well. The more I struggled to wake up the stronger the energy / ringing noises in my ear became. This rush was almost like the rush of a panic attack but without the nervous / feeling like youre going to die effect.

Finally, that "rush" became so incredible to the point where it wakes me up ( about 20 mins ago ), and my right ear feels like its almost completely plugged. Sit on the edge of my bed thinking what the fuk just happened. Get up, take a piss. Come back to my room, and now Im typing this up.

Im not one to believe in the paranormal but experiencing something like this has kinda made me feel different about that. To the point of something effecting your body in reality, not just a dream, is tripping me out. Im tired as fuk but I dont wanna sleep now.

I wrote that probably an hour ago. Now , its 5 51 am and Im just wired as fuk. This hour has gone by really fast.

I never liked napping in my car because Id feel fully in control during my dream but I couldn't wake up. Very similar to what you described. No weird energy/ear thing though. You probably just a nightmare coupled with the weird awake but cant wake up thingy.

there's definitely and odd time of half sleep half wake. I have also experienced a lot of weird shit when I was going through some shit some years back that was very early in the morning which never seemed to make sense, then a few days later I questioned whether it even really happened.

Sounds like you might have had sleep paralysis. I used to get that all the time. You become conscious outside of sleep but your body is still pinned to the bed and immobile, all you really can control is where you point your eyes and your breath. If you try to scream it's through a closed mouth. You might have audio and visual hallucinations. There reached a point where it was so familiar to me that I'd have it several times a night and I'd just be like, 'fuck, that's annoying, stop it body." Sometimes it would happen because I'd be disturbed awake by a bad dream, in which case the hallucinations may be based on said dream.

Or you might have been raped by evil spirits. :monocle:

Never experienced that, but almost every night I'm able to control my dreams which is pretty awesome.

Interestingly when I was in high school I did some experiments with controlling my dreams... repeating mantras to myself as I lay in bed to remind myself once I'm asleep to realize it's a dream which I can take control of... often unintentionally defaulted into more pesky sleep paralysis. :red: I had some other interesting experiences though, doing that.

Lately I've been too lazy 'in my old age' to acknowledge that my dreams are merely dreams and they just happen, though in the recent past I often took control of them.

Though, Im sure if it happened again, I would accept it and let whatever it is take its control.

lol thats exactly how I was sleeping too. Ya , my guitar teacher and I figured it was sleep paralysis. We talked about it for a good hour and half.
