SPIN is a bit different than other mags, for sure. Actually, a lot of interesting guitarists made the list for the hundred. But in many cases, it seems that they are reaching a bit far and trying a bit too hard to avoid actually like well-known guitarist's guitarists.

Like. Skrillex on the list at all, even at #100? And like Jam Master Jay at number... 10? Of a greatest of all time... guitarists, list?

Really though, by now we should all simply know much better than to even look at these fucking lists, so the problem is really simply: our own. :red:

lol I saw it on pantera fb page cuz they mentioned dime being on it. It outraged me so hard that I had to show you guys.

That has nothing to do with greatest guitarists, or playing guitar at all.

That is, though, mostly (Skrillex? Really?) a list of pretty alright rock music. :idk:

Not a classic rawk radio staple to be found, save for Iommi, and I'll forgive that one. :lol:

That's a list, mostly, of people who play guitar in alright bands.

Bernard Sumner but not Robert Smith? Andy Gill but not Geordie Walker? Trey Azagthoth but not Mikael Akerfeldt? Annie Clark ( :love: ) but not Ani Difranco? Euronymous is not the answer to a trivia question? etc.

At least it doesn't look like a radio station playlist, and it's largely not flavor-of-the-month stuff, either.

I'd guesstimate I have records with about half and am aware of almost all the rest with the exception of a small handful. :idk:
