I've wanted to do this one for many years. Never did. Probably should. I think I could pull it off, too. Granted I'd probably shorten the hell (pardon the semi-pun?) out of it. I don't need the extended solos or jammy bits. Which probably cuts the song in half. That's not my noise anyhow; I don't know how I'd interpret them. I was always a writer, not a jammer, when it comes to instrumental sections and solos. But the main slower tempo section (minus the minute of Hammond solo), would fit quite nicely. The main groove of the thing and the guitar riff that first shows up at 1:25? You know I'd be all over that shit. Needs synths though. The big chords in the chorus? Dump the organ in place of squalling guitar violence. Keep the dissonant chords though; they're awesome. What would you pick? |

I got three quarters there but then apparently aborted. It was my first use of my pretty red import mics.

Entwistle is a beast. But... That is hard to say. I have this obsession with rearranging songs I like and never recording them, so I have a few choices. Fleetwood's Rhiannon is up there, but this has always been my favorite: Or, same band, but alternate route: |

I heard an American black metal/folk band do a damn good job of it though, so not so much anymore. |

Never really thought about this much before but I always like rocking/metalling up catchy pop songs. I'd like to re-do some Katy Perry tracks

One was Jockey Full of Bourbon, which I've posted here, I could definitely hit a few more Waits tunes, also Hallelujah, then change it up with a much harder version of I Want You (She's so Heavy) (Beatles) |
