I am both very stressed and very broke (the cause of said stress; that and having to see my family and basically beg them for money so I don't have to pawn my gear; I have never, ever asked my folks for money. I am too proud and unfortunately upper-middle-class suburban to do such a base thing. *rolls eyes* I can't take money out of the bank because I got nothin'.), so I am draining the liquor cabinet to attempt to get back to sleep. Currently, Crown Royal. Not my fave, by any means, but I keep it on hand as a general-purpose whiskey for when the single-batch bourbons I truly love are inappropriate (basically, anything that should be mixed, save for a Manhattan, which has become my drink of choice at bars vs. straight Maker's On The Rocks.) I am out of Elijah Craig 12 Year, which is my absolute fave-o-rite. Since no pretty people are going to do anything inappropriate with me in the next few days, I can make it all disappear and, y'know, whatever. I note that's a darker beer. The few times a year I have a beer, I prefer the heavy, dark stuff. It's just a more appealing flavor to me. What's that got going on in it? |

When compared to normal American brand coffee, think extra strong and flavorful without a burnt taste I find some "strong" coffees to have. Maybe someone in the greater New York City area could find some? Maybe at a Latino supermarket? No one here in Florida nor Chicago right?

There's a good-sized Puerto Rican community here and I'm not too far from them. That might be findable here. Currently:  Which is hella fine for the price. Hella fine, period. A bit of a butterscotch note to it. |

How is this? My BFF Mistress D loves her vodka, proper eastern European vodkas specifically. (Russian Standard, Belvedere, Pravda, etc.) I am getting her a Soviet flask with a big ol' Order Of Lenin on it as a present this year (especially if I can snag one with a black leather cover- how goth!) Having some vodka to go with it would be proper amusing, and we do live in Buffalo and all...

It is a flavoured vodka, and an interesting one at that. Supposedly flavoured with some sort of grass. It has a slightly sweet herbal vanilla grass vibe going on that intensifies if you take a while to finish the bottle. |
