For me it's a no as it'd be far too cold, despite the potential for a really incredible hidden snow lair. |

You would need better slippers. One without pee on them, but I think I would be proper villain's lair. The problem I see for my villain lair is the snow is: 1. I hate white. "Twould be far too easy to spot me in the damn snow in my black. 2 I hate the sun, and obviously snow reflect the awful orb's rays. On the plus side. No one would look for me there. |

Some of the pics have me saying YES at first, because look at that untouched barren icyness. That is thuper. And it's on the bottom of the world. But then I consider what conquering a land entails, such as Starbucks and strip malls, and I say no. Then I consider that no one but scientists and the military will go there anyway. In the end I am impartial. However it would make a fine place for my base. |

The Ice Lands always seem like great locations on paper, but really most of what they actually provide, is remoteness. Antarctica would be the place where you build the missile facility that you never visit. It would be the least desirable post for your henchmen, and anyone who was assigned there would know that they probably pissed somebody off somewhere. All of these things actually combine make Antarctica to become a dangerous place in that you have some remote powerful weapon site, peopled entirely by disgruntled and/or outcast henchpeople and supervisors, with very little other upper organization oversight, which makes a mutinous rogue missile base start to look like a very real possibility. In light of these points, i would have to disapprove of said location for anything beyond some occasional Tauntaun hunting.

I figure part of conquering the place means you are de facto in charge- it does not mean colonizing the place, which is a whole different animal. If I am to have a big ol' ice-treehouse with a No Humans Aloow'd sign on the door, it will not contain suburbs. |
