Post subject:  POLL: Tungsten. Does anything beat it?
Pros:
-Extremely dense and heavy, like gold.
-One of the hardest damn things known to man.
-Extremely high melting temperature, like 6000 degrees or some shit.
-Very expensive.
-Difficult to work with. Because all good things are difficult to work with.

Cons:
-None that I can see.

Practical applications:
Let's make a snare drum out of it. Of course, it has to be machined out of a giant-ass block of the stuff. :idea:

I have a tungsten pen, actually.

In troof, it is a tungsten tipped pen insert, that i took out of its original ugly plastic housing, and put into a nicer metal Tiffany pen body.
