Re: Quality Words 2014. i'm pretty fond of the word 'bellignorant'. around my house we usually use the word 'Gigest', and also another fantastic misappropriation, 'Obeast'. i seldom ever say 'obese' proper, because 'Obeast' is clearly a MUCH better word on a multitude of levels. we also use the word 'hamson'= as in 'that is a mighty hamson dog you have there'.
i was in a car with a very drunk-- as in barely capable of walking, nevermind speaking english, and he kept saying 'For SERIAL?' YOU CAN"T be FOR SERIAL'. so since then i use, quite more often than appropriate, for serial.. or possibly the better variant, for cereal, as in ' that thing is for cereal.' and i don't mean a bowl and/or soup spoon.
