Huh. I always thought mp3s sounded "drier" than the CD version, ripping stuff from CDs back when CDs were still a thing. I suppose I was right- it eats all the reverb.

That was my thinking as well.

Like, well below 100kbps.

Also, someone should write a program that automatically produces a ghost record every time you rip a CD. Seems simple enough, just need a lossless version and an mp3 encoder. :idea:

Or probably, even a high bitrate lossy one would work in place of the lossless.
