Hmm... 400 miles is about right from Fuffalbo to NYC. New York's a longass state, and he's right, we're about as far apart as we can be and still be in cities in New York. Past Buffalo, it's fields and cows until Pennsylvania, at which point it's fields and cows until Cleveland.

Canada, on the other hand, is probably fifteen minutes counting the traffic lights. There's the end of my street, one street and change down to the New York State Thruway, and then like a hundred yards of Lake Erie. Canada's on the other side.

Also, it's a diagonal line from the Atlantic Ocean on the wang of the state that sticks out into the aforementioned to the corner that's right up next to Canadia. So it's like the longest possible straight line across the buggering thing.
