...make a great name for a distortion pedal.

Also, I was thinking:

Rodent Of Unusual Size- modded Rat.
Tranny Hooker- modded Big Muff.
Front Toward Enemy- the EQ section of a Metal Zone slamming a fuzz. Can operate independently; two switches.
Molten Walrus- multi-band distortion, intended for use with bass. Randomly named 'cause I like how it sounds.
Brickshitter- Noise generator. Destroys your signal. Turn the knobs, fuck things up. May or may not produce identifiable tonal sounds.

"Snaxtortion Brickshitter" does have a ring to it.

Those are all quite swell. I particularly like "Front Toward Enemy". I have actually seen the ROUS/rat on one of the DIY sites' "post your builds" sort of threads.

I just recently did a whole pile of mods to my old marshall shredmaster copy, and its new name is Boomstick. Right now it is just Dymo labels, but i am going to sit down and photoshop something together later i think.

I also think that someone should do a pedal called the Burninator, or even just "Trogdor". That is another one that i have seen on the DIY sites that IMO should see large scale production due to its general radness.

I would be a liar to say I didn't start building pedals in the hopes of designing a Maplitonian line of pedals.

I like the "Louder Maker" for a clean boost (mine is a LPB-2 clone that I wuv) ...

That one is funny to me.

Largely because, this is one of the first two pedals that i ever built:

Of course, yours looks about over 9000x more professional than mine does.

Ah, back then i actually had the patience to finish the box once the circuit was built. Nowadays, if it works once it is built, i just use it. Maybe i'll make some quicky control labels with a sharpie or a dymo, but that is it.

The text on that one is actually funky, it is this transfer lettering that they used to use in graphic design layouts. Hard to find now, but it is cool stuff. The font for the big letters is actually straight up Helvetica or Arial, and the one for the little letters is something like Times New Roman, but when i clearcoated it, it melted the words into what you see there. Kind of strikes me as the kind of text one might find on an oldtimey treasure map or summat. :idk:

I more recently rebuilt that one into a slightly different boost, with some switchable clipping diodes innit. Box looks the same though, just an extra toggle and an LED on there now.

I think I might keep this one a straight up boost, then I want to build a Timmy-esque boost with some added switchery to use as like a boosty-preamp to run into my fuzzes. Of course I could run the Loudermaker! into it as well ...

CURSES. "Boomstick" is already being used by madbean for a diy project.

Now i need a new marshally distortion name.

Beasthammer.

I just like the combination of those two words.
