Does your Axl ever go out onstage with a kilt and a catcher's chest protector? Because that would be ideal.

I should have some pictures from a video shoot soon; just asked the director if he had any stills. Also a studio shot or two from doing the metal stuff. It's strange to be actively working on music again.

Wow that's a nicely populated gig mayne. I guess my standards are lower because no one likes my music, but damn, nice turn out!

Also... nice Blue Encore vocal mic.

Our Axl does the Kilt, but doesn't have catcher's gear. I offered to bring my son's gear but it might look funny, my kid is 7 and small for his age and Axl is 6 foot tall....

I like the Blue Encore, I bring that to gigs that I don't do sound on, not too many people use them and the soundman never packs them away while breaking down, it's away's "Oh, this is not my mic... "

As far as audience, yeah for November Rain we get big crowds mostly, this one was actually a little sparse because of rain. We play this gig annually and usually 3000-4000 in attendance. BUt then we have our flops too, we got paid a shit ton of money to play Delaware Saturday, was a big tribute band festival... we were headliners, but the promoter had never promoted anything before so it was basically in a parking lot of a strip mall ('Murrikka! fuck yeah!) and this asshat was charging $30/ person for admission. Needless to say we had about 50 people there.

We are playing up at Mohegan Sun Casino (Poconos) by a racetrack and every year we get about 4-5000 people and get a 3 camera video shoot out of it. Then we play a local gig here and get 50-200 people. Still fun either way.

You know I have two Shiva's the head and the combo. The head is the Silverback and the combo is the greenback. Most people swear on the Silverback. Not me, I prefer the greenie. The green has the adjustable Channel 2 boost and just sounds better to me. Then again it;s in the combo and I've never run the head through the combo shell. I am thinking I shold have someone just build a headshell and move the greenie into it for NR gigs and sell the silverback head. I don't gig as much and it's easy to swap head and combo.

Hrmm... Speakers may make a difference? What's in the combo and what do you usually use with the head? I've never A/Bed the different iterations of Shiva so I can't compare, only say that I like the things quite a bit.

Were you guys playing in an actual sports venue?

We were playing at a Casino that is in front of a horse racetrack. They have bars and food there. They offer free admission and sell a shitload of alcohol and then people walk into the casino drunk. We get to play for 5-6000 people and get a 3 camera video shoot and a nice paycheck and free food

I thought the first band was really good. Their JCM800s sounded brilliant. I don't know why the promoter put them on such a turd spot.
