The AC30 lives.
...so I pulled the chassis. Took the back panel off, checked the fuses. They're fine. Tubes appeared fine. Plugged it into my bandmate's Mills cab... all the channels work!
I replaced it in the combo cab. Upon further examination, there was a bent speaker terminal on the Blue. (Having both a Blue and a Greenback in said cab.) The internal wiring on the combo is very short; it must have been bent attempting to position the attenuator in back. It was touching the other terminal. The terminal was then re-bent to its proper position. I fired up the amp, it worked fine. I connected the attenuator, no issues. Methinks I shorted the thing out. I want a longer cable in there anyway so I can place the attenuator on top rather than behind the map anyway.
w00t!

If by "guitar harmonies" you mean octave fuzz, pitchshifters, ring modulation and whammy pedals, and "blast beats" you mean 909 kicks glitching, then no. This is full-on Snaxorawk. It's a different kind of heavy. We do have some stuff in drop D though?

That's exactly what I meant by guitar harmonies and blast beats. How funny.

I think it could be done without sounding wildly out of context. It would have to be a slow, churning Euroblast.

Euroblast, question mark. ?
I was going to say: There are a lot of places in this building to get wonderful natural reverb. This excites me. Also, I can't wait to fuck around with that Prophet.
...but you posted something before I could hit "Submit".
And then Geoff posted something.
I'mma think of ways to work a blast beat in there somehow for the hell of it.

So yes, there's some nice melodic solos through a cranked AC30.
Re: Blasts- my drummer plays a four-piece with a single kick pedal. That sort of blast would be do-able if I could find a way to write it into something. As I'm sure I'm the only one in the band who would ever think of putting a blast beat in there. Double-time punk beats are not the same.
