Happy to see all you fucks still posting around here. :mexican:

I just got back my first guitar. It's been a solid 4 years or so since I had her (gave her to a friend to hold onto/play). The rest of my gear was pretty much all sold or given away and now since I'm trying to get back into playing I need help finding stuff.

I'm kinda lost on what type of amp is the best bang for your buck nowadays. I'm looking for probably a combo amp (tube would be awesome), but I still have an old ADA MP-1 preamp so even a 1x10 cab and power amp might be good for a cheap rack setup.

I live in Manhattan now if you are ever in the LES.

Also I have one of those Tech 21 Power Engine 60's, little powered 1x12 combo. I never use it now that I live in a tiny shoebox apartment, and opt for the headphones with my 11rack. I think I had it up for like $300 but wasn't really desperate to get rid of it. Could use a decent guitar more than it, so if you need some sort of powered speaker setup, might be an option for you.

It's been what, like at least 4 years since I've been active here I think? Bounced around from a job or two and sold almost all my gear. Landed a pretty solid job atm and felt like jamming back up. Thought i'd stop by and see how everyone has been. :poop:

I was reminded tonight just how much of a pain in the ass it is to restring a floyd rose guitar. Took about 2 hours to get the action correct and get it in tune.

Can't wait for the amp to get here hopefully this week so I give me neighbors a reason to hate me.

I picked it up today from the UPS store, and holy crap do I suck at guitar. That's what happens when you don't play for a few years. :fag:

At least I still had my effects processor to cover up the shit sound with reverb and chorus. :poop:

It's the first Peavey I've played through. It's kinda muddy on the low end on the lead channel (playing in D tuning though). Took some adjusting but it sounds good. Probably has more to do with the speaker it's being run through than the amp itself.

I didn't get to crank it too high, barely took it past 3 but I like it.
