I too have been getting in the darker beer mood. Starting with pale ales... it is definitely time for those and the IPA. It's not really ass scorchingly hot anymore. I had to two Black Oak Pale Ales at the bar on Saturday and it felt great. NO MOAR PISS LAGER UNTIL 2011. (watch me contradict myself and drink cans of Bud tonight) |

I love my IPA's and flavorful beers. But I also get headaches drinking beer when it's hot and then feel bloated so now I just hit the hard stuff. On the other hand my singer and I were bar hopping looking for gigs yesternight and he was drinking Merlot, so I did as they do in Rome... I enjoyed. |

When i was in new york, one night i had a whole pile of these awesomely grandpabeer-looking things:  Total piss lager summertime allday beer. I actually don't think they are even alcoholic. I had kind of a lot of them, and it was like i was drinking ginger ale or something.  I do enjoy drinking some oldman style beerfromacan every now and then though. Hard to explain why.

I find schaefers to be overly fizzy and overall not a very pleasant piss water... I just wish we had a wider selection in the super markets... a couple former 7/11's have a few interesting things i would like to try but paying $4+ per beer is not very appealing |
