Disclaimer: i do not actually own 2 screens. The left one is my girlfriend's, and shes oot and aboot in australia, so i get to use it, because it has MUCH lower latency than my huge dell... by a factor of about 50ms.

Thank you sir! I agree. Though, it lacks spots for fans (no bottom or top), and is the texture of fine grit sandpaper so it seriously fucks your hands when you work on it, but i love it anyway. Looks so cool, and i've never had a computer with lights before.

I shall say how proud to see Maps page up there on the screen, I think it's the first time I've seen it on a screen outside of my own computers.

Edit: On the subject of PC fuckery, what is your opinion on running PCs through LCD TVs as opposed to monitors? Let's say I am working with little space (true) and I want to get a big TV for my console fratboy gaming (most likely going to be my next purchase) but also want something usable for a PC where it won't be impossible to do anything (completely fuzzy/shitty resolution).

Now, I barely ever know what I am talking about, so as far as specific specs go, I have no idea.

So, what size screen could I work with? How good of a video card will I need to make it not look shitty? Granted, I don't game much on PCs anymore and I also want to use this computer to record music. I also am not looking at a huge TV either. The absolute MAXIMUM size would be 40". I just don't have the space.

I've used an LCD tv for a monitor. Both times it was a bit shit for reading text off - for some reason it was a lot blurrier than a proper monitor. My friend has one of those massive 52" samsungs and it seems a bit better, but it's only really used for watching downloaded films and tv I'd probably be inclined to get a decent monitor, they's expensive though Alternatively just try a TV with dvi input, so long as you can take it back for a refund if it makes a shitty monitor

Well, that was what I was worried about. I have a 15" LCD monitor that I can use, I just wanted more space on my desk. I'll just have to think of a clever solution

A regular tv is 480i, which is 640x480.
On a computer screen, 1280×720 is 720p, and 1920x1080 is 1080p. My left screen is 1920x1080, and my right screen is 1920x1200 (bigger than 1080p).
So Tv's look blurry because the pixels are blown right the fuck up to match a tv's low resolution. Best way to keep er as sharp as possible is to NEVER use s-video, and only use HD component or HDMI.
Movies will always look good scaling from computer to TV, but games wont.

This is why computer screens ALWAYS look better than tv's, they have the exact number of pixels that a computer puts out instead of scaling pixel cells to whatever is being drawn o the screen.

So my advice would be to either A) get a decent quality 1080p TV, or B) get a 24 inch monitor thats 1920x1200. If the monitor you want is 1920x1080, make sure its no bigger than 22.5 inches, chicklet pixels are ugly.

My goal in life is to get a second graphics card, and get 3 120hz 1920x1200 screens, and go for 3D surround

So let's say I have a newer video card in this hypothetical computer of mine that can do HDMI out in 1080p, then a larger size LCD monitor wouldn't look like complete crap? I know video games would look bad from PC > TV, but I really just don't game on the PC too much anymore, and if I did I always have my little 15" to hold me over.

It will look good for tv and movies, but not amazing for games. It will look more console-y for games.

And video cards have a bunch of methods for HD. You can get DVI to HD component out, or mini hdmi to hdmi. Mine has 2 DVI ports and 1 mini HDMI, and adapters out of the ying yang.
