There is no band in the symphonic metal genre that can even compare to Therion, and anyone who doesn't recognize this is ignorant. :poop:

With that said, they stopped making their best music about ten years ago now, so I might as well try to enjoy other bands.

Apparently this band is a big deal. It's amateurish at times and super cheesy but I guess I can dig it. Has a kind of dream-like quality to it.

After Forever, particularly this album, particularly this single. It's too bad youtube only has potato quality of the vid. Floor Jansen's singing is just... on a whole other level. She's like a super human.

Been on a serious Mars Volta binge recently..The Bedlam In Goliath certainly lives up to its name. The drumming in this band is so good.

How do they spend all this time and money on writing and recording this dense orchestral music. All the classical instrumentation is real and pristine. And then plop a 128kbps mp3 of guitars, drum machine and growls on that. Just how. It's confusing to hear, maybe less so on youtube but if you get your hands on a copy, my god. It literally sounds like these boneheads brought a low bitrate mp3 of their home recorded metal parts to the studio.

Funny, that instrumentation sounds like sequenced samples to me. :idk:

Are you 100% sure that it is a real orchestra?

Maybe just a youtube audio translation thing. Sounds odd to me though.
