I heard this recently; I don't think I'd heard it in at least ten years. Saul Wright.

Post up things by bands people wouldn't expect you to like, you don't like, or you're utterly indifferent to but they have that one... :geek:

I never expect to enjoy modern radiofriendly pop, but it happens sometimes anyhow.

Older, Jellyfish:

Newer, Band Of Horses:

Also newer, Wilco(though this record does admittedly stray a fair bit from typical radio pop):

And this band is totally like er... well, ultrasaccharine 'bad emo' terrible (particularly the vox), but regardless, i enjoy the record and the songwriting:

Too bad that song fucking RULES. I call the offspring the first " real " band I loved.

Ah yes, back in the olden days, that first single from Smash was commonly jammed upon in the basement of chris_d after school. :isay:

That is excellent. I have all the offspring tab books from when I was a young lad just starting out on guitar. :hitler: :rawk: :eekass:

Never really thought I would be a big fan of Pop-Folk/Bluegrass:

La Roux has a really annoying voice. I like the use of 8-bit sounds in popular music though.
