I'm finding it hard to get a job as well. I've had a few interviews but am yet to hear back from them which doesn't bode well. It doesn''t really help that the economy is in the shitter and I'm trying to get into what was always a hard industry to get into - media. I got the highest grade possible at uni and am pretty good at editing/creating stuff, but its just impossible to get an interview anywhere. |

Well you're looking for work in a tough time, with the US economy being shite. So with 2 years construction experience, a contractor can get a guy with more experience for less money as there are less jobs overall, unless they are union. It sucks, once you have a job everyone wants you.... |

Heehee. My resume looks like such shit these days, i have depressingly close to zero expectation that i will find work any time soon. I am actually currently trying to battle this defeatist attitude, but none of the signs look good from my perspective. Being good at stuff, and smrt, and a quick learner, and etcetc... doesn't get one as far as i would wish. I should have collected at least one degree back when i could afford school/certification/whatever.
