Seen him live with Kovenant on the Animatronic tour, for whatever it's worth.

I suppose Hellhammer cranking out dance beats is kinda funny in retrospect. But twas a fine industrial-metal show. They could throw down. And that's a cool record. :huzzah:

You're not missing anything. :red:

I lie. You're missing something. And IMO the metallers who say it sounds lifeless have no taste or class and compress and EQ the everfucking fuck out of it and that's why they think it blows. Because they have no taste and their drum sounds blow with anything. :cop: They'd be fine with a Boss DR-660. :snax:

Also, I need the Electronic expansion badly.

It's actually a bit of a mystery why I don't have this. :idk:

It would seem appropriate for your noises.

Yeah, SD 2.0 is by far the most sensical solution to my drumming needs, despite my lack of a decent PC (and I wish I could get a nice Mac for Final Cut but damn they is 'spensive). Buy seeing as that will most likely be my next purchase, I think I may be able to start getting my recording setup going.

They're something you grow into. Take your time.

Also, you get a pass 'cause you can play drums for real. Unlike me.

Pretty good for a guitarist! I practice drums so much that my guitar playing is suffering. We all know you are great at guitar.

I have a cheap one for my electronic drumset.

It is nothing useful.

I am looking into buying some sort of drum module. An Alesis DM-5 is my top choice. To trigger the kick. We will gig soon, after all.

These things can be used to make drum machinings?

The old drummer in my band had a DMPro that used to belong to Trent Reznor. It was the "B" unit on The Fragile tour. Seriously.

And yes, they can. It's a sound module full of... drums. Like any other synth, but all the patches are drum banks! When I used to use hardware drum machines and synths for drums back in the day before software drum samplers, I used 'em as sound modules and did all my sequencing on shitty old secondhand Macs.

Personal experience tells me the DMPro has cooler shit onboard and is more versatile. I've used both. Both cost roughly bugger alle these days. Plus the DMPro does sampling and you can make and load your own patches on flash memory cards.

Honestly, if you have a laptop, I'd track down a trigger-to-MIDI converter or rig something up with an interface and a small rack and trigger whateverthefuck I want from your 'puter. You could mix in SD2 live if you wanted. Hell, using something like a DM5 as the trigger-to-MIDI converter isn't the worst idea I've ever heard. MIDI it up to your Focusrite, map your outputs and you're good to go. Make your own samples if you want.

Those are some uses that are not likely to been used in the near future, but who knows after that?

Either way I will probably get whatever I can on Craigslist...

I hear that they will no longer allow prostitution ads on CL. Sorry you may have to look elsewhere for "whatever"
