I'm fairly certain Chris, Sardo & ...Geoff? have given them a spin or two in the past. There's a few fans here if I'm remembering correctly. But yeah, I actually had no idea. No clue. It did inspire me to put them on though.

I haven't listened to much Swans though. I got into the earliest stuff and use it for ambient purposes... But it is good news.

I can't say my mind is totally blown, but I am at least a bit surprised! They're old NYC folk though, so I guess my gast isn't totally flabbered. Unless my memory fails me from Old Maps, all The Shenaniganers and a few of the deathmetallers with artsier leanings were fans. ...lemme guess, tor knows Michael Gira or something. Oh, and btw Mr. tor, we're not doing the Bile show in October. And they aren't either. The promoter's a fuckin' joke, and as soon as I found out from my drummer who it was... He kinda has a reputation for setting up shows that may or may not happen with bands who may or may not be there. I've heard stories, I'll put it that way... I wouldn't be shocked if people's names magically appeared on the poster who aren't gonna show...

Yeah I heard the same from Krz a few days ago. He mentioned his booking manager will book shit randomly, not check their schedule. One of the gentlemen in the band haz a job which has to do with a certain sport which get very busy in the playoffs mid October so he has to be available to update things. 'tis a shame you guys would hit it off well, I think. And he's touring with my G&L bass so a part of me would meet you. He's hoping to schedule something up that way after the playoffs. |

I heard about a possible December date, same club. Hopefully a different promoter. Dude's notoriously sketchy, booking agent aside. That could be a bad match.
