...release an album of nothing but acoustic shit. They rule at that shit.

Agree , but everyone on youtube has pretty much covered every song in an acoustic medley

In Flames should call it a day. Clayman was good, Reroute was acceptable, and... I don't want to talk about the rest.

They would have been a fabulous acoustic band when they were good. They used to be superawesome melodic melodeath melodystuff.

Come Clarity the song was alright, but that album was a turd.

But I think they've still got the skillz required to release an epic acoustic album ala Days of the New but with Anders on vocals.

Who the hell is even playing guitar for them these days with Jesper gone?

I don't think Anders can really pull it off as a singer, to be honest. Travis Meeks has (is he still alive? ) a good voice. Anders... Okay, I'll confess I haven't seen them live since Reroute, but he never impressed me as a singer. Though he had a fierce DM voice in the late '90s/early '00s.

Not that I'm opposed to "character" vocalists versus technicians. Hardly. Look at the shit I listen to! He's had moments where I've been like "that's cool!" but it's never full songs, not as a clean singer. Though the Passenger stuff I heard, at the time, made me think he might have something.

Granted, I've only given the past few (Soundtrack was the last one I owned) a cursory listen, so I might be missing something there.

Travis Meeks is good all around.

Anders is too fucking weird to be a good clean vocalist, but I imagine he'd do alright if he'd stop trying to be Marilyn Manson long enough. Ala Metaphor.
