'Cause a '73 Super Reverb makes a sound an AC30 doesn't, and I wanted to use it for a whole whopping one song. And only for the verses and one lead line. But dammit, I could. So I did.

Also, while it may be a Silverface, it's an early enough Silverface that it's a Blackface circuit inside.  The speakers were fucktup, so they were swapped out with recent production THDs in the very recent past. And they do sound good. Also, I have a Rode NT5 about ten feet back from the amp in front of a case of drum hardware, at ear level and angled down. Shure KSM27 LDC and modded Nady RSM-4 ribbon on the amp about four inches back or so. |

I almost bought a Blue Angel, but ended up getting my Bassman instead. I just never got a chance to mess with one in person  I keep an eye out for them though.

I like my newer BFMV Twin a lot. Even if it does have a hum that won't go away no matter how I bias it. |

I have not owned a Fender since my Rivera era Super Champ. I believe this must change. Also, manly-voiced androgyny for the win
