Had this on another forum and it was pretty cool. I don't really have anything good, just a radioshack style amplifier I had to build at university :red: I also have this design of a guitar I was going to build, but never got round to, which I suppose doesn't count, but it's my thread :mad:

I tend to make threads for recent buildmakings. Like my SLO pedal, or the bass build.

I've never built a guitar, but I've built a house, a garage, and built various transportation toys (golf cart with Harley Davidson 1200 engine)

My aim is to have built 100% of everything i use. I just like knowing how, and knowing that i can. Thus far, many compromises necessary, and so i have been focusing more on the musical gear aspect than the everything else aspect. Even still, i don't see myself making my own tuners, tubes, or strings any time soon. But, just about anything else, i have either done already, intend to get to soon/eventually. :huzzah:

I am not that handy, or rather I should say I don't currently have time to try any builds. I have done the prepackaged mods like Allums but that's a s far as I've gone recently.

I'm assuming the tuners and strings? Those you'd only need a decent metal shop and some way to draw wire for, no?

The tubes... Well, you'd be a goddamn champion if you made you own tubes. :lol:

Actually, tuners and tubes. The tuners for machining experimentation, the tube for the epic sense of self satisfaction. It wouldn't have been like a 12AX7 or anything, but like an oldschool huge single triode. Then someone posted a video of a dood making exactly one of those, and i was like er... no. Needs all kinds of specialty spot welding shizz and other odd bits. Not worth it just for the epic sense of self satisfaction. :red:

Also, I had some Lego cars that GM ended up actually building, some fifteen years later. Like the spitting image. Can't find them.
