Envenomation has been really busy lately before we hang it up for good, what with us putting on the final show before Conner moves to Zealand next week.

We have tons of footage from the show last night, which we are going to edit into a really legit set of vids covering the entire set we played. We had multiple iPhones on scene (they newest ones are pretty damn good at recording live music, ie they don't fart out like every other phone/camera I've seen) so we'll have the audio from the best located one and multiple angles all worked together into a nice batch...
But until then here's more rehearsal clips, which the guys didn't want to upload until after our show. ++

Also, as you can see, I managed to use a Powerball for the show. With... a Behringer cab. The tone was pretty fucking spot on for the genre though.

Devourment rocked a P-Ball scooped to all fucking shit with the gain nearly maxed when I saw them.
It was brilliant for what they were doing.

I've wanted a fireball for as long as I can remember.

That Powerball was pretty tits. It apparently has a built in noise gate?! Damn, that shit rules. Compared to the guy who owns the head, I raised the mids and then raised the gain a little. And still the noisegate kept that shit in check. I think they were a success when they worked that option into the map.

Still though, if I keep slamming in some new band (there are talks of this maybe happening) I will pick up something from the 5150 family of maps. You just can't fucking go wrong. And as for noisegating... I am already accustomed to being all up in my volume knob, so I don't actually need it. So it's not like I'd have to run some gay Boss pedal in the loop.

But still, it was pretty fucking cool to be silent, and then go into full slam with no adjustments.

I've never heard a Powerball come out good recorded, though. They're always kind of boxy sounding. I think all Engls have this problem, though. It's nothing a little post-EQ applied to the right spots couldn't fix, though.

My vocal bit at the end of the first song was bad. I tend to sound like that live if I don't get enough of myself in the monitors to check my timbre. Otherwise I'd say this was titties, in every aspect.
